Digital billboards aren’t the only form of outdoor media that can change the message every few minutes…a human billboard recently debuted in Raleigh, North Carolina in which 63 people each held a panel of the billboard. The message changed every few minutes and included humor. The campaign was done for a software provider during a software conference.
A three tiered grid was set up that started about 17 feet off of the ground. All 63 people were volunteers that sat in three rows. The cards they held were 2.5 feet by 4 feet and when put together, formed a completed billboard measuring 14 feet by 50 feet.
The messages in the campaign all related to the goals of the conference and included sayings like, “You should see our synchronized swimming routine” and “We have more to say on collaboration but our space is kind of limi.”
The campaign worked well not only for its uniqueness, but also the humor in the messages. Photos of the varying billboards were featured in several blog posts and also got good coverage on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Would you have the arm strength to volunteer if a company wanted an Atlanta billboard just like this?
