The ad was designed by the agency “Division of Labor” and in most respects is a lesson in simplicity. A black background with light blue text that maximizes the contrast. The company’s name and logo sit at the bottom right of the Billboard, but the remarkable bit…the thing that will absolutely ensure that the billboard is remembered and talked about is the message that reads:
“How Stanford dropouts hire Harvard dropouts.”
Wow. Given the longstanding rivalry between those two prestigious, top-tier Universities, it’s not difficult to imagine the social media commentary that erupted not long after the first billboards went up.
