A collaborative effort between Adams Outdoor Advertising and the art community in central Pennsylvania will soon be bringing several original art works to larger than life status. It’s the second year for the ArtPop Billboard Competition, but this year, a new feature was added…a scholastic competition. That allowed high school students to enter, with one lucky winner. Five other artists, 18 and over were selected for display by a jury, as well as one additional artist selected by public vote. All 7 winner’s works will be featured on 7 Adams Outdoor billboards in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. Atlanta based Formetco is sponsoring the billboard production.
Adams Outdoor General Manager, Tony Cioffi said he was excited for this year’s competition because the first one was such a success. He went on to say that not only had the entries been great, the contest has received overwhelming support and engagement from Lehigh Valley residents and community leaders.
