“Finger lickin’ good” takes a turn as Kentucky Fried Chicken puts a pause on their famous 64-years-old slogan due to recent events surrounding the pandemic.
The urge to stop the spreading of the coronavirus has made people think twice about placing their hands to their face. Therefore, leading to KFC putting a hold on their iconic slogan.
However, KFC has implored new marketing efforts into each of their campaigns…including billboards! They changed the art design to blur out the recognizable slogan. The ads become more noticeable because of the change, uniqueness, and leads the viewer to remember KFC.
Effectively navigating ad changes can be extremely difficult but finding a creative and effective way to still inform your message is key. Hopefully, the iconic slogan reprise it’s role sooner than later.
