Digital billboards in Buckhead have not been popular with residents there, but relief from the bright lights could be on the horizon. The two billboards in the heart of Buckhead where Roswell Road meets Peachtree Road may soon be getting an upgrade.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle is reporting that Meltzer Properties is going to add on to the existing two story structure that houses the billboards. Meltzer says the plans include a 6,000 square foot addition that would double the size of the building and provide more ground floor retail space and more attractive leasing options for tenants.
Known for their quirky designs, Plexus r + d says their design would include a green roof and 12 foot ceilings, making the building highly visible through the heart of Buckhead. No word on when construction will begin.
