Disgruntled fans in San Diego are taking their message to the National Football League in a big way.  A super fan started a Go Fund Me page to raise money for several billboard ads when the team’s owner decided to move the team to a new city.

Life long Chargers fan Joseph MacRae had a lot to say about the team’s move and seemed to be hit really hard.  On his Go Fund Me page, MacRae writes, “Have you been an NFL fan your whole life only to have your team suddenly taken away from your city?  You may have been the most loyal and dedicated supporter, but it didn’t matter in the end.  Have you ever wanted to tell the NFL how you actually feel? This is your chance.”

Five different messages appear on the digital billboard, including the one above that features NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell with the message “No Freaking Loyalty.”  The billboard is located near the San Diego Chargers’ temporary new home, StubHub Center in Carson, California.  It’s the stadium that’s already home to the Los Angeles Rams.  The two teams are sharing StubHub Center while the Chargers wait for their new stadium to be built in Inglewood, California.  The team’s new home will be more than 2 hours north of San Diego.

San Diego’s owner, Dean Spanos, relocated the team from San Diego to Los Angeles in the off season.  He exercised the right of the franchise to share a new stadium with the Rams.

MacRae raised over $10,000 for his billboard campaign.  His fellow Chargers fans say they feel like the team abandoned them.
